Step 1

Regulora® is a 3-month program. It is not meant to be repeated as clinical evidence shows that it has long-lasting effects.

Regulora® treatment is as easy as watching a video. In gut-directed hypnotherapy, the relaxation, focus, and pleasant feelings you experience can help you train your brain to block out the pain and discomfort you feel in your gut.

Brain-gut psychotherapies work by helping your brain learn to better filter out uncomfortable sensations. Some people feel their stress in their stomach, which is called being a “gut responder.” Gut-directed hypnotherapy helps to induce a deep state of relaxation and focused attention. You might experience pleasant feelings, a sense of tranquility and protection, or a distancing from discomfort and stressors—all of which can normalize gut sensations and help regulate the brain-gut connection.

You will do a 30-minute session every other week, for 7 core sessions, plus you will have access to training sessions and other resources.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Regulora® is a digital therapeutic intended to provide behavioral therapy through gut-directed hypnotherapy for adults who have been diagnosed with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). Regulora is indicated as a 3-month treatment for patients with abdominal pain due to IBS and is intended to be used together with other IBS treatments. Regulora is intended for patients who speak and read English. Regulora may not be appropriate for patients with mental or physical impairment that would prevent interacting with a mobile video application. Regulora may not be appropriate for patients with evidence of intestinal illness that better explains IBS symptoms such as celiac disease or inflammatory bowel disease. Regulora should not be used in lieu of your current IBS medication or therapy. In a clinical trial of Regulora, side effects were low. About 1% of patients experienced abdominal pain, constipation, fatigue, or headache which was thought to be related to using Regulora.
